  • Counselling is a supportive process that helps individuals, couples, and families understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Therapy can support healing, personal growth, coping skills, and positive change during challenging times.

  • Coping Corner is built on the belief that healing happens best in safe, intentional spaces. The clinic offers developmentally informed, culturally responsive, and client-centred care where progress is respected and growth is supported at each person’s pace.

  • Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • The first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and discussing your goals for therapy. You’ll have space to ask questions and decide together what approach and pace feel right for you.

  • Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions (75–90 minutes) may be available when more time is needed for deeper or complex work.

  • Yes. Sessions are offered in person and via secure telehealth, depending on client preference and availability.

  • Yes. Therapy is available in English and Tagalog (Filipino).

  • A limited number of sliding-scale spaces may be available to help improve access to care. Please inquire directly to discuss availability.

  • Many extended health plans cover counselling or psychological services. Clients are encouraged to check with their provider regarding coverage and reimbursement.

  • Feeling nervous is very common. Therapy moves at your pace, and you are never expected to share more than you’re ready to. The first sessions focus on building comfort, trust, and understanding

  • Therapy can be helpful if you or your child are experiencing emotional distress, behavioural changes, relationship challenges, or simply want extra support. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

  • The length of therapy varies depending on goals, concerns, and individual needs. Some clients attend for short-term support, while others choose longer-term therapy for deeper or ongoing work.

  • Parent or caregiver involvement depends on the child’s age, needs, and goals. For younger children, caregivers are often involved regularly, while older children and teens may have more individual sessions.
