Corner Conversations
Brief posts exploring mental health, coping, and everyday growth, along with clinic updates.
Kumusta | Hello
Hello, I’m Kathlyn, the founder and therapist behind Coping Corner Psychological Services Inc. I’m sharing this introduction in both English and Tagalog to honour my roots and to remind our community that this space welcomes you as you are. Coping Corner was created as a safe place to pause, feel supported, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth — where your story is respected and your progress is gently nurtured.
Mental Health Through My Own Lens
Aside from being a therapist, I am also a professional photographer with over 10 years of experience. I began with portraits and landscapes, but photography taught me to pay attention to corners—where light thins, where tension gathers, where what’s easily missed quietly shapes the whole image. This way of seeing carries into how I understand mental health: not only what is centered and visible, but what lives at the edges. The images shown here are selections from my photographic work over the past several years.
This is a series where information is shared about the differences and overlapping traits of psychiatric disorders and mental health diagnoses. The goal of the series is to help individuals recognize the symptoms they may experience, which can empower them to manage and cope with their mental health effectively.
